How to install an Ignition Coil in a 3.7L Engine on 2008 Jeep Liberty?

Use air pressure from a compressor to get rid of any contaminants sitting near the top of the spark plug. Look at the O-ring around the coil (2) and if it's worn, replace it using silicone to help slide it into position. Place the ignition coil (1) into the cylinder head opening, fit it against the spark plug and push the coil base over the stud. Install the coil mounting stud nut (2) following the instructions for torque. After that, join the electrical connector to the coil and place the throttle body air tube if necessary.
