How to Install an Ignition Coil on 2007 Jeep Liberty?

Before installing the ignition coil, make sure to use compressed air to clean away any dirt or impurities at the top of the spark plug. Have a look at the coil O-ring 2 on the rear rotor; if it needs to be replaced, silicone on the O-ring can make installation easier. Place ignition coil 1 into the hole on top of the cylinder head and push the coil onto the spark plug as you guide the base over the mounting stud. Place and tighten the coil mounting stud nut 2 to 8 Nm (70 in. lbs). Once the electrical connector is in hand, snap it in place on the coil and, if you can, connect the throttle body air tube.
