How to Install and Service a Tie Rod End on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?

Thread the tie rod tube onto the adjuster as the first step in installing the tie rod end. After that, place the tie rod in the steering knuckle and tighten the ball stud nut (3) on the knuckle to 85 Nm (63 ft. lbs.). Set the tie rod clamp (2) and tighten it to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). Following that, place the tire and wheel combination on and straighten the wheel toe once the car is lowered.
