How to Safely Detach a Steering Wheel on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?

You should first take out and disable the air bag on the driver's side before you remove the steering wheel. After that, detach the speed control wiring so that the puller can reach the clamps. Fully loosen the steering wheel bolt, but don't take it out; only leave it in the column. Adjust the steering wheel puller L-4407A to OTC 7929A jaws by sliding the puller jaws over the pockets of the armature on the steering wheel. The last step is to take out the steering wheel.
