How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2009 Chrysler Aspen?

Before servicing or repairing the throttle body, add any existing DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) to your records using a diagnostic scan tool. Never check the throttle body roof when the ignition key is in the ON position, as that could cause DTC's to appear. Unplug the black battery cable from its connector, then fit a socket onto the nut under the throttle body and remove its air duct and resonator box. After that, disconnect the throttle body electrical cable and any air lines that must be removed. Take off the four bolts that hold the throttle body in place and remove the throttle body from the intake manifold. In addition, determine whether the old throttle body-to-intake manifold o-ring is damaged.
