2009 Dodge Caliber Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Rear Wheel Speed Sensor on 2009 Dodge Caliber?
A: You need to take off the cargo floor covering and the rear floor pan silencer as the first step of servicing and repairing the rear wheel speed sensor. If possible, remove the bolts that hold the satellite receiver or amplifier to the rear floor pan and pull the component to the side to see the wheel speed sensor wiring connector through the bottom opening in the quarter trim panel. With this hole, reach in and remove the connector for the wheel speed sensor from the body wiring harness connector. With the vehicle lift working, get the wheel mounting nuts off and take out the rear tire and wheel. Remove the grommet from the hole in the body and draw the wheel speed sensor cable through that hole. Get rid of the clip from the outside frame rail and the screw that secures the cable routing clamp to the crossmember in the rear suspension. Following that, extract the speed sensor cable routing clip from the trailing link and undo the screw that keeps the cable routing clamp attached to the trailing link. Remove the screw in the wheel speed sensor on the back of the hub and bearing and remove the whole sensor from your vehicle.
