2010 Dodge Caliber Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Repair a Speed Sensor on 2010 Dodge Caliber?
A: For servicing or repairing the wheel speed sensor in an all-wheel-drive vehicle, remove the cargo floor cover and the floor pan silencer in the rear (1). If necessary, take off the nuts connecting the satellite receiver (1) or amplifier (2) to the rear floor pan, then bring the part aside to expose the wheel speed sensor wiring connector in the bottom of the quarter trim panel. Unplug connector 2 from connector 3 by inserting your tool into this opening. Hold up the car, unlock the nut and remove the whole wheel that includes the tire. Through the hole in the air bag body (1), pull the grommet (2) out and then draw out the wheel speed sensor cable. Pull out the speed sensor cable routing clip (3) from the outside frame rail (4) and remove the rear suspension crossmember screw (1) holding the cable routing clamp (3) in place. Following this, pull the cable routing clip off the trailing link and remove the holding screw. After that, remove the wheel speed sensor head (1) from the hub and bearing on the rear of the axle (2) and take out the sensor from the vehicle.
