The first thing to do is to remove the HVAC housing and put it on a work surface before you remove the A/C evaporator. Following that, take apart the HVAC housing as directed. If the evaporator seal in the upper area of the HVAC unit is damaged or deformed, you must change it. Gently take the A/C evaporator from its position in the bottom half of the HVAC unit. A deformed or broken rubber seal around the evaporator tubes must be replaced. If the area under the evaporator is inaccessible, remove the plastic clip that holds the rubber flange to the evaporator tubes.
