  A: To service the blend door actuator, first turn off the air bag system by unhooking and simply waiting to remove the negative battery cable, then let it discharge for two minutes to avoid making the air bag go off accidentally. Keep the front part of the instrument panel free from marks, scratches or other damage during the work. The first thing to do is remove the black battery cable from the battery. After that, take out the instrument panel. Following this, remove the three screws holding the blend door actuator to the top of the HVAC housing. First, pull apart the HVAC wire harness connector from the blend door actuator and then take the blend door actuator out of the HVAC housing.
