Electric windows are used to remove the HVAC casing, then it is opened and taken apart to avoid the A/C evaporator. The first step is to take the HVAC housing off and put it on a bench. Take apart the housing whenever need be to uncover the A/C evaporator. Use care when removing the A/C evaporator from the lower area of the HVAC housing. If you have to, take out the insulator around the A/C evaporator.
