2009 Dodge Viper Tie Rod End Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Tie Rod End on 2009 Dodge Viper?
A: Before servicing or repairing the tie rod end, raise and support the vehicle. After that, take off the front wheel and tire assembly. Begin by loosening the jam nut (2) on the inside and once that's loose, you can remove outer tie rod nut (3). Take care not to pinch and ruin the grease seal of the tie rod while using Puller, Special Tool C-4150A to remove it from the knuckle. Following this, use the Puller (2), Special Tool C-4150A, to disconnect the outer tie rod (1) from the knuckle (3) and then twist the outer tie rod off the inner tie rod to finish the whole procedure.
