- Q: How to Install an Antenna Module for Remote Start on 2009 Jeep Liberty?A: The first step in installation is to disable Srs by taking out the negative battery terminal and waiting for two minutes until all the air bag capacitors are discharged. Set the remote start antenna module and screws on the instrument panel assembly and tighten each screw to 2.5 Nm (22 in. lbs.). After that, install the instrument cluster and note where the remote start coaxial cable will be routed as you removed it. If available, place the coaxial cable in the mounting clips and join the remote start antenna coaxial cable connector to the Sentry Key Remote Entry Module (Skreem). Set the Skreem onto the steering column ignition lock housing with the antenna ring going around the lock cylinder and then tighten the mounting bracket screw to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Attach the instrument panel wire harness connector to the right Skreem connector receptacle, put the right multi-function switch in place and link the negative battery cable again. To replace the Skreem, the help of a diagnostic scan tool is required to initialize the new Skreem and program at least two Sentry Key transponders. Tpm vehicles should use a scan tool to enter the Id number and location of the spare tire pressure sensor when replacing the Skreem or spare tire pressure sensor.
