How to Safely Remove and Replace an Instrument Cluster on 2009 Jeep Liberty?

Before removing the instrument cluster, disconnect the minus battery cable, wait for a few seconds and then isolate the negative battery cable to make sure the air bags won't be deployed. Start with taking off the bezel covering the cluster from the dashboard board. After that, unscrew the four fasteners holding the instrument cluster to the instrument panel base trim. Move the top of the instrument cluster backward to free the wire harness connectors from their spots on the back of the cluster and then disconnect them.
