Q: How to Remove an Oil Pan on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Start by disconnecting the battery's negative cable and remove the engine oil level indicator tube to remove the engine oil pan. Following that, get the car on a hoist, remove the engine oil and take out the oil filter (2). After that, unbolt the fasteners holding the structural cover and lift out the cover, leaving the lower oil pan bolts alone, only removing the upper oil pan-to-engine block bolts (1). Take out the bolts on either side of the pan (1) and take away the oil pan and gasket.
