Q: How to Install an Oil Pan on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Before installing the oil pan, wipe away all oil, dirt and sealer from the places where the seals fit and then put 1/8 inch of Mopar(R) Engine RTV GEN II around where the chain cover connects to the rear seal retainer. Then, put a new pan gasket on the oil pan, fit the oil pan into its place and tighten the bolts using 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) of torque. Afterward, set up the structural cover and tighten the bolts. Put the car on the ground, set in the oil level indicator and install the new oil filter. The last step is to fill the crankcase with oil, then attach the negative cable to the battery.
