How to Safely Remove an Air Bag from the Side Curtain on 2010 Dodge Avenger?

To avoid serious injury, first remote the negative battery cable, then wait for two minutes after so the reserve capacitor can discharge before you open the side curtain air bag module. After that, remove or lower the panel over the roof to reach the curtain air bag. Lose the end of the squib connector from the back of the inflator. On both the A-pillar and C-pillar, loosen the front and back tethers. First, take out the seven nuts that are holding the air bag in place along the roof line, then raise the air bag off the studs and pull it out of the car.
