2010 Dodge Caliber Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Rear Brake Disc on 2010 Dodge Caliber?
A: Before removing the rotor, raise and support the entire vehicle. After that, release the axle nuts and take out the wheel with the tire attached. It is sometimes necessary to gently pull the inboard caliper piston back a little to make space for the pads and rotor so the caliper can be easily removed from the knuckle. Lift the caliper slightly and remove the lower guide pin bolt as you continue to support the flex hose during movement. Lift the caliper slightly to make removing the brake rotor easier, then keep it in this position using wire or a bungee cord. Take out any remaining tab-like clips from the brake rotor's position on the wheel studs, then carefully lift the assembly off the hub and bearing.
