Removing and replacing the cabin air filter requires unbolt the air intake grille on the wiper module screen near the dash panel under the hood. Open next the filter door on top of the particulate air filter housing found inside the dash panel plenum. Before beginning, be advised it is useful to note which way the particulate air filter will be installed. Finally, remove the particulate air filter out of the particulate air filter housing in the dash panel plenum noting the direction of airflow as indicated by an arrow on the filter.

If you open the bottom of the lower front HVAC housing, you'll spot the air filter door just above the passenger side of the center stack. Press in the air filter door latch located behind the vehicle until it clicks into the door's opened stop, then take out the filter by pulling on the air filter door straight down. Stick your hand into the air filter opening and remove the air filter by pulling it down and straight out of the system. Install the new particulate air filter so that the "Airflow" arrow points to the vehicle center; incorrect installation could result in your filter needing to be replaced earlier. Place the filter all the way in the HVAC housing, with the arrow to the rear and put the air filter door onto the lower housing air filter opening, keeping the latch pulled forward. Release the air filter door until it reaches and then locks into the closed position.
