Connect the negative battery cable to an alternator before taking out the A/C condenser. Drain the refrigerant out of the refrigerant system. After that, take out the front fascia. Detach the cooling lines from the automatic transmission port and disconnect the hoses from the power steering cooler's fittings. Attachment of these fittings is done by installing a plug in the power steering cooler and transmission cooler ports. If you have a 3.0L diesel engine, take the charge air cooler out. Uncouple the connections between the A/C discharge line and A/C liquid line and the refrigerant line. Take care to install plugs in or apply tape over both the refrigerant line fittings and the condenser ports. Take out the four bolts that hold the A/C condenser to the radiator. Lower and slowly pull the A/C condenser forward as you tilt it. If that is required, set the A/C unit's condenser on a bench and uninstall the A/C receiver/drier.

How to Remove and Reinstall an A/C Condenser on Chrysler Crossfire?

After that, unlink the refrigerant lines (1) from the condenser, ease open the mount for the connection fittings (1-2), lean forward the radiator and remove the condenser. When you install the condenser, put it in position and tighten the condenser connection mount fittings (1-2). Tighten the refrigerant lines back onto the condenser to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Next, put on the radiator, lower radiator hose, upper radiator hose, radiator fan and coolant reservoir. Fill the coolant, put refrigerant into the refrigerant system, then reattach the negative battery cable at the end.
