How to Maintain an Ambient Temperature Sensor on Chrysler 300?

Before servicing the ambient temperature sensor, disconnect the negative battery cable and lift and support the vehicle. Pull out the front splash shields and unplug the wire harness from the sensor of ambient air temperature. Remove the push pin that holds the ambient air temperature sensor to the bottom of the front bumper beam and take the sensor off the bumper beam as well. You should install the ambient air temperature sensor underneath the front bumper beam by using a push pin. Mount the wire harness connector on the ambient air temperature sensor, put in the front end splash shields, lift the vehicle and lastly reattach the negative battery cable.

Before working on the Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC, first take off the negative battery cable. After that, take out the engine compartment's lower panel and open the flap on the fog lamp on the left near the front. Cut the connection for the ambient air temperature sensor harness (2) near the front fascia mount (1) and unclip the sensor from your bumper support.
