How to Maintain a Dipstick Tube for Optimal Performance on Chrysler Crossfire?

Before servicing the oil dip stick, remove the housing of the air cleaner. Once done, open the cover of the cylinder head to take out its bolt for the oil indicator tube and then remove the cable tie holding the wire loom on the tube. Raise the vehicle and lift the oil level tube from the engine. To install the tube, swap it out and add some engine oil to it, so that it sits firmly in place to avoid oil leakage. Temporarily connect the oil level indicator tube with the crankcase, then bolt the cylinder cover in place and fasten it with a torque of 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.). Place the wire harness loom against the oil level indicator tube and keep it in place with a new cable tie. Then, install the housing of the filter once more, turn on the engine and search for any leaks.
