First, put in structural collar 1 from the right rear and tighten it, as stated in the service instructions, to avoid harming the transmission case or the oil pan. Place structural collar 3 onto the bolts in position, but don't tighten them yet, until you ensure that collar 3 sits flush with the oil pan 1 and the side of the transmission bell housing. After that, put in the vertical collar bolts 2 and pre-tighten them by 1.1 Nm (10 in. lbs.). Following this, install the horizontal collar bolts 4 into the transmission and tighten them to 55 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Bolts in the center of your vehicle first and finish by bolting down those at the side to achieve a final torque of 55 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). When you finish, fasten lower splash shield 2 with retaining bolts 1, lower the vehicle and link up the attached terminal 1 on the negative battery cable.

Next, set the lower splash shield in place and use a medium screwdriver to install the screws (1) to 7 Nm (5 ft. lbs.) Then, bring the car down from the stands. Pull the engine support frame out of the engine and then fasten the air cleaner housing into place. In the end, attach the negative battery cable as well.
