Drain the fuel pump, make sure you are in a well-ventilated spot and don't light up any cigarettes while carrying out the work on the fuel rail. Unhook the negative
Battery Cable, then remove the intake manifold plenum with its bolts and lift it clear of the engine; put some kind of covering on the intake manifold to keep dirt out during the work. Release the fuel supply tube quick connect fitting found at the rear of the fuel rail. If the numbers for the injector connectors are not on them, label them for safety. Lift up and remove the bolts attached to both sides of the fuel rail, allowing you to lift it straight from the cylinder head. Undo the clips that keep the
Fuel Injectors in the fuel rail and remove them. Lightly apply clean engine oil on the fuel injector O-rings and install the retaining clips on the injectors. After that, push the injectors into the fuel injector rail to line up the retaining clips. Set the fuel rail on top of the cylinder heads, push it in and use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.). After that, install the intake manifold plenum again and reattach the negative cable to the battery.
