You should start by taking off the remote jumper terminal's negative battery cable and then remove the upper radiator crossmember and fan module electrical connector. Then, take out the cooling fan module and any accessory
Drive Belts, after that the crankshaft damper and the front timing belt covers. If you are going to reuse the timing belt, be sure to note its direction. Turn the engine clockwise so the crankshaft mark lines up with TDC on the oil pump housing and the camshaft sprocket timing marks are found between the markings on the covers. You should make sure that the camshaft sprockets are lined up to the marks on the rear belt covers before removing the timing belt to stop damage to the valves and pistons. Use a marker to draw lines that mark exactly where the camshaft sprocket timing mark falls on the rear
Timing Cover. When uninstalling the tensioner, gently press on the plunger using a ratchet until the timing belt stays still and stand it up with the plunger pointing up when you set it aside. After pressing the plunger into the tensioner, set a pin to secure it until you install everything else. Before starting installation, you need to confirm that the camshaft sprockets are not loose; if they have been, spin them toward the timing marks but stop before doing a full turn. Place the crankshaft sprocket on the cover mark at TDC and the camshaft sprockets on the reference spots made when removing them. First, start the belt installation on the crankshaft sprocket, then slowly guide it counterclockwise and around the tensioner pulley, while keeping tension throughout. Place the tensioner in the housing, tighten it until you reach 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.) and keep the camshaft sprocket marks inside the cover marks. Lower the retaining pin to allow the tensioner to lengthen and spin the crankshaft sprocket clockwise two times. Check that the timing marks are lined up when you finish. Reinstall the timing belt covers and crankshaft damper, after that put in place the accessory drive belts and cooling fan module and finally install the upper radiator crossmember. After that, attach the negative terminal to the remote jumper terminal, restart the engine and let it sit idle for about a minute. If there is a noise coming from the timing belt or tensioner, the tensioner most likely has air inside; run the engine at 1600-2000 RPM for 10 minutes with a DRB III to eliminate the air and quiet the noise within 15 minutes of operation.
