Before beginning on the Transmission Position Switch/Sensor for the 40TE, first take out the valve body assembly from the transaxle. After that, remove the screw that connects the transmission range sensor to the valve body. Tilt the camera to pull the TRS out of the manual shaft. For setup, put the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) onto the hole of the valve body and tighten it with a torque of 5 Nm (45 inch lbs.). At last, mount the valve body onto the transaxle.
