Lubricate the lifters with engine oil before you lift them into the bracket, still making certain the lubrication hole is in the proper position. Following this, set each hydraulic lifter at the top of the cylinder with the lubrication hole towards the middle of the block and return them to their original spots if using old ones. Make sure the yokes are in alignment when installing, fix the yoke retainer and tighten screws to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). Following installation of the lifters, put on the cylinder heads. Start your car and let the engine reach its working temperature, but limit the engine to slow idle while hydraulic lifters are filling and not making noise, to protect the valve system.
