How to Detach the Hood Cable on Chrysler PT Cruiser?

The cabling for the hood can be accessed after you pull off the grille. Following this, pop out the hood latch and let go of the cable attaching it. After that, take off the trim panel from the driver side cowl. After this, remove the two screws that keep the hood cable assembly attached to the cowl panel. Take off the rubber grommet and with the cable in your hand, pull it from inside the dash panel through the hole to take the assembly out.
