You should unplug and isolate the negative cable from the battery before working with a multifunction switch. Then, take out the upper and lower steering column shrouds. After that, unscrew the right multi-function switch from its bracket on the right side of the
Clock Spring. Rearrange the switch by placing it in a direction away from the Clock Spring, so that the slide tab will break free from the bracket's channel. Following this, remove the jumper wire harness connector from the connector receptacle at the inboard end of the right multi-function switch. After that, undo the connection between the switch and the Clock Spring.
