Chrysler Timing Belt Idler Pulley ensures that the belt is tight and in line to enable engines to run straight. Chrysler established its reputation through combining solid steel with inventions that have controlled vibration and helped to smooth all the rides. Chrysler was one of the first to use airflow styling, cutting drag and providing the cabins with a more relaxed atmosphere and more room. Chrysler followed up with the first workable minivan, demonstrating that family room might be positioned on a pocket-friendly sticker. Chrysler is still pursuing comfort through generous room designs, plush ride, and a purchase process that is hardly time wasting. The Floating Power eliminates engine vibrations that cause drivers to experience propulsion without the vibration on the steering wheel. Value is important as well and that is why shoppers will receive fair prices rather than pranks and overstated selections. Timing Belt Idler Pulley is located opposite the crank gear and this idler pushes the toothed belt with constant lateral pressure. Timing Belt Idler Pulley is resistant to heat, road grit, and incessant RPM variations by having a broad bearing surface and a rigid hub machined to specific clearances that prevent slap, squeal, and untimely belt distension. Timing Belt Idler Pulley minimizes the possibility of missed throwing timing to protect valves and pistons by shielding against destruction. Timing Belt Idler Pulley bolts can be easily fitted without shims on the dissimilar engine designs, making one component widely useful.

Chrysler Timing Belt Idler Pulley Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Timing Belt Idler Pulley on Chrysler Sebring?
    A:
Before servicing or repairing the timing belt tensioner and pulley, remove the timing belt and the timing belt idler pulley. Place Special Tool 6847 on the camshaft sprocket, remove the bolt and then remove both cam sprockets. After that, loosen the bolts on the rear timing belt cover and take it off, along with the bolt that holds the timing belt tensioner in place near the engine which allows you to remove the tensioner as a whole. Install the timing belt tensioner fitting the alignment on the engine and put in the lower bolt for the tensioner assembly initially without tightening. To put the tensioner assembly in place, tighten one of the engine bracket mounting bolts (M10) 5 to 7 turns into the upper position of the tensioner. Tighten the lower mounting bolt of the tensioner to 61 Nm (45 ft.lbs) and afterward eliminate the upper bolt that was used for alignment. After that, fit the rear timing belt cover and the fasteners, then add the timing belt idler pulley and apply 61 Nm (45 ft.lbs) of torque to the mounting bolt. Hold the camshaft sprockets in place with Special Tool 6847 and tighten the bolts to 115 Nm (85 ft.lbs). Then put back the timing belt.
