- Q: How to install a Trailing Arm on Chrysler Sebring?A:First adjust the trailing link and bolt it tightly to the knuckle, at 60 Nm (44 ft. lb. of force). After that, set the forward end of the trailing link against the body and place two bolts for now, without fastening them. Put the parking brake cable from the inboard side into the trailing link and move it to fit into the support plate with the parking brake shoes. Place a hair pin through the parking brake shoe's lever, hanging the parking brake cable on the brake support plate. Attach the hub and bearing and slide the brake rotor or brake drum into place onto them. If disc brakes are at the back, place the disc brake caliper and adapter over the rotor and support plate then fasten the adapter to the plate with two bolts, securing them to 105 Nm (77 ft. lbs.). Wheel speed sensor will be fixed to the trailing link with routing clips and the brake tube is to be placed in the routing clip on the trailing link if required. After locating the flex hose and tube bracket to the trailing link bracket, insert a mounting screw and tighten it to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Place the tire and wheel assembly in the assembly and screw on the wheel mounting nuts to the recommended torque of 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Raise the vehicle on an alignment rack or drive-on lift, find the mounting bolts, secure the two bolts at the leading end of the trailing link to the body and fasten them to 110 Nm (81 ft. lbs.). Wheel alignment should be performed whenever it is needed.
