How to Service and Repair a Fuel Filler Neck on Dodge Grand Caravan?

Connect the negative battery cable to the battery and isolate it using a protective instrument before starting to service or fix the fuel filler neck. After that, take out the left rear wheel splash shield. After that, take out the fuel fill tube bracket nut, take off the vent tube hose and remove the hose clamp. Once that's done, pull out the housing, the gasket and the fuel fill tube.

How is the Fuel Filler Neck Installed on Dodge Viper?

Before installing the fuel filler neck, attach the fuel filler tube to the tank and then tighten its clamp. Now, screw the other side of the rubber vapor recirculation line onto the fuel filler tube and hold it in place using a clamp. Put ground strap 2 and nut 4 on frame stud 3 and tighten the nut to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). Following this, stick ground strap 2 to fuel filler tube 1. Should the old fasteners no longer fit well, install new ones from the frame to the fuel filler neck. Insert screws 5 into both the fuel filler neck and fuel filler tube and tighten them to 2 Nm or 17 in. lbs. Following this, connect screws 1 between the body and fuel filler neck 2 and tighten to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). In the end, screw on the fuel filler tube cap and secure the splash shields in place.
