Before working on the throttle body, cut the negative battery cable, take out the inlet hose, remove its wires and unplug the vacuum hose. After that, unbolt the throrttle body and move it away, cleaning the surfaces where the throttle body attached. First apply the throttle body gasket, install the throttle body and tighten the bolts to 11.9 N.m (105 in. lbs.) torque. Plug in the electrical cables and hoses after which, insert the inlet hose and tighten the clamp. Next, attach the negative cable back to the battery. To learn electrical data, use Scan Tool by selecting ETC Relearn in the Miscellaneous menu; not performing this release will cause a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) to set. Should it be necessary, simply use a scan tool to delete the DTC's stored in the PCM.
