Put the tires straight ahead and unplug the negative battery wire to disable the
Air Bag system, so the air bag system's capacitor can discharge for about two minutes. After that, take the driver air bag out and disconnect the wiring connector from the
Clock Spring. Ensure the steering wheel is secure in one hand and use the second hand to first unscrew the bolt securing it onto the steering shaft. Don't use force or hit the steering wheel or column while you are adjusting. Set up a wheel puller with regard to its legs' hooking onto the steering wheel over the shaft onto the shaft, making sure the shaft is not turned as damage could result from this. If you are uncertain about the Clock Spring center, use the centering procedure before anything else. Next, take the wheel off its shaft while the car is in a straight position, using the wheel puller.
