Release the refrigerant and then open the air filter housing to locate the A/C accumulator. Detach the A/C suction line from the A/C accumulator, throw out the O-ring and gasket. Installing the assembly takes only a moment: Easy, through the process, the retaining band secures the accumulator and protects it inside the slotted dash bracket hole. Release the tape or plugs at the refrigerant line fittings attached to the accumulator inlet tube and the evaporator outlet tube and join both lines to the accumulator. Then, fasten them to 25.99 ± 3.39 Nm (230 ± 30 in. lbs.). Tighten the screw on the accumulator retaining band to 4.5 Nm (40 in. lbs.), plug the wire harness into the low pressure cycling clutch switch and attach the battery negative cable. Drain the refrigerant from the system and then fill it with the right refrigerant. When changing the accumulator, install 90 milliliters (3 fluid ounces) of refrigerant oil into the refrigerant system using only the oil specified for your car's compressor.
