    A:
Put only the specified O-ring which is made of R-134a suitably, into the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch and use the proper refrigerant oil for the A/C compressor. Lubricate a fresh new O-ring seal 4 with clean oil and then install it on fitting 3. After that, place the HVAC pressure switch 2 over the A/C liquid line and tighten it. Afterward, attach the first wire harness to the HVAC pressure switch and at the end, connect the negative Battery Cable.
  • Q: How to Service an HVAC Pressure Switch on Dodge Dakota?
    A:
To deal with the refrigerant pressure sensor/switch, before anything else remove and isolate the battery negative cable. Remove the wire harness from the HVAC pressure switch which is attached to a fitting on the line between the condenser and the high side service port. Unscrew the HVAC pressure switch from where it is attached to the discharge line fitting, then remove the switch from your car and throw away the O-ring seal from the fitting. Prior to installation, apply clean refrigerant oil to a new O-ring and attach it to the discharge line fitting, being sure to use the correct O-rings and refrigerant oil from the vehicle's compressor manual. Attach the HVAC pressure switch to the discharge line fitting, plug the wire harness connector into it and reconnect the battery negative cable last.
