How to Install a Door Latch Assembly for the Rear Door on Dodge Charger?

Before anything else, link the door wire harness connector to the rear door latch. Connect the latch to the rear door's latch face on the inside and fit the three screws through the backdoor inner latch face, tightening each to 12 Nm (108 in. lbs.). Go into the back of the door shell, then attach the exterior handle latch link to the latch lever and hold it in place with the plastic clip. Also, link the end of the interior door handle latch release to the latch lever and attach it with a plastic clip. Turnkey insert the link and knob unit to the rear door and attach the interior door latch lock link to the latch lever using the plastic clip. Next, install the door glass channel and bracket to the rear door's inside section next, install the watershield before you and push the trim panel back in from the interior side. Loosen the hex socket latch release adjusting screw on the rear door latch from the small access slot on the outer door cover using a wrench. Crank the door release handle all the way about two or three times before you adjust the screw on the door.

Before you work on the front door latch, lift the window to its highest point and then take out the door trim panel. After that, relocate the water dam, take out the actuator rod from the door latch and interior door handle actuator and remove the rod. Take out the door wire harness connector from the door latch. Take out the last three bolts that hold the door latch and take the latch away.

After that, relocate the water dam, take out the actuator rod from the door latch and interior door handle actuator and remove the rod. Take out the door wire harness connector from the door latch. Take out the last three bolts that hold the door latch and take the latch away.
