How to Service and Repair a Rear Sway Bar Kit on Dodge Durango?

You need to raise and support your vehicle before you work on the rear sway bar kit. Remove the nuts and bolts on the top mountings from the links. Then remove the nuts and cotter pins from the links where they connect to the sway bar. Puller C-3894-A is needed to remove the links and sway bar from the car. After that, take off the locking bolts and retainers, along with both ends of the sway bar and corresponding bushings. To install, place the new bushings onto the sway bar, then set it in the center, so it is spaced evenly on both sides. Attach the sway bar retainers, then tighten the bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Hook the chain to the frame and sway bar with the bolts and nuts you were given. Unplug the jack and let the vehicle come down. Now tighten the sway bar link nuts on top to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) and those below to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.), put in a new cotter pin and trim the excess part off.
