How to Install a Hood Latch and Ensure It Works Properly on Dodge Challenger?

Make sure the latch is near the front of the headlamp mounting crossmember, so you can connect the hood latch release cable ball on the lever and its housing to the latch. Then, put the latch up front on the crossmember, apply two of the screws and tighten them to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Correct the placement of the latch for correct use of the door. After that, lay the right underhood appearance cover on the headlamp mounting crossmember and press it down until each clip attaches to the corresponding receptacle. On the left appearance cover, place the interlocking section of the inboard end into the matching section of the right cover and press the whole section down onto the headlamp mounting crossmember to snap each integral clip into place. Steps aside putting the battery negative cable back in place. Any vehicle with the Automatic Express Up power window feature must be recalibrated whenever power to the door module is disrupted.
