How to Remove the Ignition Switch START/STOP Button on Dodge Challenger?

It is necessary to turn off the ignition before you remove the Start/Stop button. Insert a small screwdriver or trim tool beneath the chrome bezel ring at the bottom of the button to gently release the button. After you have detached the buttons, pull out the loose one from the instrument panel.

How to Properly Install and Secure an Ignition Switch on Dodge Viper?

While installing the ignition switch, move the actuator shaft to the lock housing and make sure the switch is set to RUN. Snap the switch onto its tabs and then use a screw to secure it in place. Set the multi-function switch in place, secure it with the two screws and then plug the electrical connectors to the ignition switch. After that, install both shrouds and the key cylinder only when its retaining tab is fully depressed while running the machine. Following this, attach the negative battery cable and turn the nut until it reaches 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.), then activate the ignition button as well as the key-in warning switch.
