Before removing the Air Bag Control Module, first unhook the negative
Battery Cable from the attached terminal on the remote post. Push open the glove box door, hold the side tabs and lower the box door. Before starting work on a Concorde, first remove the Instrument Panel. Once you have the left endcap out of the junction block, dislodge the clips by pulling on the steering column cover after taking out its two screws. After that, pull down the glove box door, check the screws in the upper and lower left corners of the glove box bin and access them. Disconnect the center bezel in the car, as this action will also remove the temperature control module, power outlet and traction control switch. Handle the center connector and then remove all four screws at the Chin bezel, two on either side of the car. Take away one screw and one push fastener to unattach the floor bin. After pulling the ORC, use your finger to remove the red CPA tab, push down the latch and remove the 23-pin connector from ORC. Unlock the two side mounting screws on the driver's side and unscrew the top bolt there as well. If you can't lift the module out, loosen the lower screw on the passenger side until you can pull out the ORC. Take out the ORC from the vehicle. While installing the ORC, make sure the ORC-mounting bracket's arrow points forward on the ORC and that the mounting bosses line up. Screw the ORC onto the bracket using the three supplied screws, tightening them between 88 to 124 in.lbs. (10 and 14 N.m). Follow the steps you used to remove the battery in reverse order and do not hook up your car's negative battery cable remote terminal until the air bag System Check completes.
