  Take out the floor center console to facilitate front parking brake cable service or repair with the hand lever. Take the parking brake off by hand, then lift and steady the car. Pull apart the equalizer/tensioner from each of the three parking brake cables afterwards. Press the front cable retainer fingers down at the end of the cable housing where it connects to the intermediate bracket. Then move the cable forward and remove it from that bracket. Extract the screws holding the front cable routing clamps to the underbody and take out the clamps from inside the cable. Lower the vehicle and remove the screws on the end of the front cable that hold it to the side of the parking brake lever. Take the adjusting nut off the front parking brake cable, remove the cable strand from the lever and pull loose the cable seal from the floor pan. Then use the access hole in the floor pan to remove the front parking brake cable.

  Guide the rear parking brake cable onto the inboard side of the axle Trailing Arm, over to the Brake Caliper, with the cable between the Brake Line and the trailing arm. Grab the parking brake cable cord, pull it out through the cable housing and insert the other side into the caliper lever. Next, feed the rest of the strand back into the housing and set the housing inside the mounting bracket, so the retainer horns lock together. Before installing the left rear cable bolt, clean the threads, use Mopar(R) Lock & Seal Adhesive or an equivalent, insert the cable through the routing clamps against the axle trailing link, secure the trailing link with the upper mounting bolt at 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.) and fit the other cable routing clamp with a tightened bolt at 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Locate the right rear cable clamps on the axle trailing link, insert the upper bolt, tighten this to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.), route the cable above the rear axle toward the front of the crossmember, place four clamps along the rear crossmember and tighten the screws to 6 Nm (55 in. lbs.). The left rear cable routing loop must be hung over the studs below the vehicle, aligned with the trail link forward mount and fixed by tightening the nuts to 6 Nm (55 in. lbs.). Drop the right rear cable through the lower loop of the cable routing loop, put the tire and wheel in place and tighten the wheel mounting nuts to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Pass the end of the left rear cable through the upper hole in the intermediate bracket and firm the cable housing into the hole until it snaps into place. If the vehicle has a foot lever, attach the parking brake cable equalizer to the three parking brake cables and tighten the cable equalizer before you let the vehicle down. When the parking brake cable equalizer/bent nail tensioner is secured to the cables by a hand lever, feed in the tension by advancing the front cable, lower the vehicle and check the parking brake. Be sure to test the parking brakes as your last step.
