Before installing the A/C expansion valve, remove the tape or plugs from the opened refrigerant line and the evaporator tube fittings, along with every expansion valve port. Slide new O-rings on the recommended material into the R-134a A/C system, soak them in refrigerant oil and join them to the refrigerant line and the evaporator tube fittings. After that, place the A/C expansion valve onto the evaporator tube tapping block and fasten it using two bolts that are tightened to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.). Attach the A/C suction line and the A/C liquid line to the A/C expansion valve, after which attach a nut and tighten it to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Afterward, hook up the negative battery cable again and finish the vacuum and charge of the refrigeration system.
