  Service the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) by making sure the SRS is disabled, cutting off the negative battery connection and waiting two minutes. Be careful not to hit or drop the stabilizer, as doing so will almost certainly harm the impact sensor and result in a module replacement. Change the ORC and OCM one at a time, checking the SRS after installing the first module to avoid accidentally fixing a fault.   Before you install the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC), first shut off the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) by disconnecting the negative battery, waiting two minutes and then isolating the battery to allow the capacitor to drain. Attach the ORC and its plastic mounting bracket to the two studs on the left side of the ORC's base, while keeping the arrow on the label toward the front of the car. Attach the right side of the ORC mounting bracket with two screws and tighten them to 10.5 Nm (95 in. lbs.) and attach the left side using two nuts, again tightened to 10.5 Nm (95 in. lbs.). Join the two wire harness connector ends to the ORC connector receptacles, with all latches secured. Put the center console back onto the top of the floor panel transmission tunnel. Do not connect the battery negative cable back to the vehicle until the SRS is checked following service to any SRS element.
