To take out the left multifunction switch, disconnect the black negative
Battery Cable, disconnect the SRS wiring and give the system two minutes to discharge. Start by taking out the negative terminal from the battery. After that, take off both the upper and lower covers from the
Steering Column. Detach the connector for the instrument panel wire harness from the receptacle at the back of the left multi-function switch. Unscrew the left multi-function switch from its mounting bracket on the left of the
Clock Spring. Push the small switch toward the flat side to release the slide tabs from the channels in the mounting bracket. Unplug the jumper wire harness connector from the left multi-function switch at the inboard side and then take the switch out of the Clock Spring.
