Dodge Ram 2500 Van Washer Pump Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the windshield washer pump on Dodge Ram 2500 Van?
    A:
In order to service and repair the windshield washer pump, remove the washer reservoir from the engine compartment. Mercifully, they stopped allowing the washer pumps to be purchased with them installed in the housing so now you can simply pull the washer pump housing apart with the use of a trim stick or another wide flat bladed tool and a little patience, but again gently avoid damaging the washer reservoir as you pry the barbed washer pump inlet nipple out of the rubber grommet seal installed in the reservoir. Next take out the rubber grommet seal from the reservoir and discard. Reverse the removal procedures to install, being sure to install a new rubber grommet seal on the reservoir.
