The first step to servicing the blower motor is to cut the negative battery cable. After that, pull out the blower motor cooling tube from the nipple on the housing and take out the blower motor wire harness from its retainer. Disconnect the blower motor wire harness connector from the HVAC housing and then remove the three screws holding the blower motor and wheel to the HVAC housing. Once out of the housing, carefully lower down both the blower motor and its housing cover, along with the wheel. Ease out the blower wheel retainer clip and take the wheel from the shaft on the blower motor. If simply the blower motor wheel is being installed, press the wheel's hub on the motor shaft with the two flats lining up. Fix the retainer clip across the hub of the blower wheel, with each ear of the clip aligned over a flat on each shaft.
