How to Install a Seat Switch on Dodge Dakota?

Attach one screw from set 3 to each of the holes from the top and back to the seat cushion side shield using the power seat switch. After that, link the wire harness to the power seat switch assembly. Place the side shield and power seat switch onto the frame of the seat, followed by tightening the seat cushion side shield screws 3 and 6. Connect the recliner lever 5 to the recliner release shaft and fix it to the outer side of the driver front seat with screw 4. After that, link the battery's negative lead.

How to Perform a Seat Switch Replacement for the Driver's Power Seat on Dodge Ram 1500?

The first thing to do is remove the negative cable from the battery to replace the driver power seat switch. To change a 6-way power seat, remove the two screws that hold the power seat switch and bezel to the bed of the seat. Take out the other side shield when working on an 8-way power-seat. Pull out the switch bezel or side shield unit enough so that you can reach the switch wire harness connector, break the locking tabs from the connector and slowly pull it out of the power seat. Loosen and take away the screws connecting the power seat switch. When installing, place the power seat switch under the cushion part of the seat shield and connect the electrical connector and add the screws that secure the switch to the shield. Place the cushion side shield back onto the seat. If available, link the recliner lever to the recliner mechanism release shaft and hold it with the screw on the outside of the front seat. After that, attach the battery negative cable again.
