Begin servicing and repairing the Air Door Actuator / Motor by removing the right side knee bolster, the steel plate and finally the Heater (A/C) air ducts. After that, open the actuator cover and add labels to the vacuum lines before disconnecting them. Release the C-clip bound around the actuator arm, then undo the screws or nuts and remove the vacuum actuator from the mount. For removing the machine, do everything in the same way, but in reverse.

How is the Blend Door Actuator Installed on Dodge Viper?

Set the blend door actuator on top of the HVAC housing. If required, rotate the actuator a little so that each set of splines on the actuator output shaft matches those found on the blend door pivot shaft. Attach the blend door actuator to the HVAC housing with screws fastened to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Connect the screen printed connector to the blend door actuator. After that, insert the instrument panel and attach the negative battery cable once again.
