Jeep Commander Wheel Stud Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace a Front Wheel Stud on Jeep Commander?
    A:
First lift the vehicle and place it firmly on jack stands; after that, loosen and remove the wheel and tire. Then take away the Brake Caliper, brake adapter and the rotor. You should use Remover C-4150-A to detach the stud from its hub. When installing, put the new stud in the hub flange, fit three washers on the stud and thread up a lug nut with the flat side towards the washers. Turn the lug nut tight enough to make sure the stud is securely sitting in the hub flange. After that, remove the lug nut and washers and then fit the brake rotor, caliper adapter and caliper back into place. After that, attach the wheel and tire assembly again, using new lug nuts instead of the old studs and bring down your car by removing the support stands.
