How to Service and Repair a Power Seat Motor on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

First, take out the negative cable from the battery to service and repair the power seat motor. Uninstall the motorized seat and then remove its cushion and the pan. detach the power wire from the motor and unscrew everything holding the motor on the seat adjuster, then remove the motor. When setting up the motor, attach it to the seat adjuster and fasten it at 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.). Connect the motor's electrical wires, set the seat cushion back and attach the lead wire to the cushion pan. Afterward, fit the seat assembly, connect the negative to the battery and watch for normal functioning of the power seat assembly.

How to Install a Seat Motor in a Power Seat on Jeep Commander?

Before fitting the power seat motor, put back pieces from the previous seat structure as required. Next, correctly fix the seat back in place so it fits well and is secure.

First, take out the negative cable from the battery to service and repair the power seat motor. Uninstall the motorized seat and then remove its cushion and the pan. detach the power wire from the motor and unscrew everything holding the motor on the seat adjuster, then remove the motor. When setting up the motor, attach it to the seat adjuster and fasten it at 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.). Connect the motor's electrical wires, set the seat cushion back and attach the lead wire to the cushion pan. Afterward, fit the seat assembly, connect the negative to the battery and watch for normal functioning of the power seat assembly.
